This two-bedroom rooftop apartment is set against a backdrop of the Taurus Mountains and occupies the top floor of a family run pension and restaurant about 3km to the east of Kalkan. It has amazing views from a large private terrace balcony over the turquoise Mediterranean Sea and out to the nearby Greek islands. Kalkan and its beautiful bay lie to west. This is an ideal place for the discriminating traveller to enjoy a peaceful holiday in a friendly, Turkish family environment whilst remaining in touch with the delights of downtown Kalkan and its numerous restaurants, bars and shops.
Guru’s Restaurant, set in its famous airy, leafy outdoor setting, has a wonderfully serene atmosphere in which to enjoy the pleasures of Turkish home cooking. The family produce their own olive oil and honey plus a wide selection of fruit and vegetables. You may want to extend your enjoyment of Fatma’s cooking by taking a lesson in her kitchen.
From the tranquillity of Guru, there are opportunities to explore the famous Lycian Way, the world-heritage site at Patara Beach and the archaeological sites of Anatolia in the vicinity.
